My first "baby" (that I was able to pick out...I think I was 2 or 3) was a sweet little old fashioned, hand-crafted "Mammie" doll. I got her at a bazaar. Even the lady behind the counter was surprised at my choice. She tried to get me to pick a dollie that was more like me, but to no avail, I wanted that Mammie doll. I carried her everywhere and had many a tea parties with her, so I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for those beautiful brown dollies you created!!
