Finding encouragement

In these little loves...

and in God's Truth.

I had printed all of these (and several more) for my dad. But I'm finding them to be of great comfort to me as well.

Jeremiah 17:7
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit

Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

Matthew 11:25-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Thanks for these verses. I might use every one of them in a little encouragement book I'm making for a suffering friend.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3).
Love your blog =*)
