Wish me luck! I have no idea what the learning curve for applique will be on my new Melody. I'm just hoping I can get it down fast.
***Whew! That didn't take long at all.
At least she's super quiet so if I'm up until the wee hours, David will be able to sleep right through. ;)
And my favorite piece, the baby lock Imagine serger may be ready as early as tomorrow.
Weeeeeeee...

Congratulations! She looks like a BEAUT! I am in the market for a machine more suited to machine quilting. I would love to know more about this one too.
Kris, go give it a test drive. She used to be called the "Quilter's Choice". It comes with a large table attachment for quilting and has a large space to mush up the quilt inside the arm. I wanted something that I could someday use for quilting too and this is perfect. My favorite features so far are the built in scissors for cutting the thread and pulling the top thread through to the back before you pull it out from under the foot. And...the knee presser foot lift. How did I ever live without that?
So happy for you, Angel :)
Yayyyyyyyy!!! So happy for you, Angel!!
I have the babylock imagine you will love it soooo easy!! Congrats on your new machine!
Yay for your new machine!! I am still figuring out fun things about mine :) I know you will figure out how to navigate your new machine in no time!
I'm curious to know if you test drove any other machines before you decided on the Baby Lock. The quilt shop I go to is a Bernina dealer, so they think Berninas are the only machine on the face of the earth.
Thanks everyone! My Imagine arrived today, can't wait to get it threaded and running.
shoppin4sophia - I didn't test drive any Bernina's as I knew they are even more expensive. And you are right, everyone that has a Bernina swears by them. I went to a trusted source first and they were both a BabyLock and Bernina dealer. I told her what I wanted in a machine and the Melody fit the bill (adjustable needle position, auto thread cutter which also pulls the top thread through to the back, perfect for my applique work, room to grow for quilting in the future, electronic with exact tension and stitch length numbers so Amy and I can work on the same garment and know that everything matches). Also, she doesn't sell anything but BabyLock sergers as they are the best. I'm so happy with my purchases!
