Wouldn't they look darling with our Meadowsweet collection?

You can find the sweet felt clippies here.

Summer just flew right by. Thankfully we were able to pack in a few fun outings this past week as David took a mini stay-cation at home with us. Half was fun time and half was projects. My sweetie replaced the collapsing retaining wall at our back door with nice looking blocks. It made such a difference back there. And I re-grouted the second bath so he could put the toilet back in that's been sitting in the tub since May. Yes, I'm very good at procrastinating the icky jobs. but it's so nice to have that done now.

I however still have a long to-do. Sam's dresser and my desk have gotten 3 coats of red paint now, add at least once more is still needed. Maybe red wasn't such a good idea? This is taking forever! I'm also wishing I had just gotten out our paint sprayer because even though I used a good, new brush, you can still see all the brush-strokes (and I didn't paint it on too thick either). So now I'm going to sand everything again before the next coat. Ugh... Is it even possible to give something a distressed look after 4-5 coats of paint? I think my only choice now will be to add a coat of poly at the end and pray it doesn't chip easily.

So, back to the fun stuff. We took the kids to see Minnehaha Falls and had a great time. I had forgotten how beautiful it is over there. The park is beautiful and I remember having family pic-nics here when I was younger.

This was the only pic where we were in focus. LOL

They've really done a lot with the grounds. I can't wait to go back and enjoy the area at a slower pace. We were headed off to the Mall of America right after to get some lunch and enjoy some rides.

Sam's 1st haircut

I had been hoping we could hold off on his first haircut until we get to Magic Kingdom in November, but no such luck. I've heard they have an old-fashioned barber shop on Mainstreet that makes a big to-do about first haircuts. Wouldn't that be fun? Well, we just couldn't wait any longer, and 9 more weeks just seemed impossible. So it was time.

The scissors part didn't bother him, it was that red cape he didn't care for. Go figure...

Photobucket

Maybe bubbles will help?

Photobucket

Nope, not so much.

Photobucket

Feeling a little better now that those bubbles are gone.

How short to you want it Mom? I have no idea. You decide.

Prayers greatly needed...

...of peace, comfort and of course a miracle, for my sweet friend Lisa.

After a summer of chemo and radiation, the tumor in her brain has not given up. She will be moved shortly to hospice care. Please keep Lisa, her husband Jason and their son Jack in your prayers. She has been so strong through all of this (even the second time around), she is a fighter. I know she would greatly appreciate any additional prayer warriors.

This collection has been in my head for months and it's such a delight to see it come to life. As you can see there were many changes including the addition of skirt and tees. We are so so pleased with how everything turned out.

Photobucket

My favorite part of this collection is the pairing of a skirt under the embroidered jumper top. I love the layered look, added softness and how it turns the top into a dress.

Photobucket

David remarked that at some point I'm gonna have to actually tell jokes instead of saying "Pretend I just told you THE most funny joke."

Photobucket

Anyone have a good one I can use?

Photobucket

These girls crack me up!

So many expressions all within the span of a minute.

I'm getting the shop ready now and everything should be available mid-morning.
Each piece will be a la carte for easy mix and matching. We'll be able to offer at least two rounds (hopefully more) of each piece, the second set will need a slightly longer lead-time.

***Please note that we will no longer be listing on eBay. From now on you will only find TaDa! Creations on Etsy where we can offer you set prices and less competition. Due to this change, we are no longer able to offer free shipping to newsletter subscribers.
